“My love and passion for art and interiors style led me into the world of art PR and marketing after graduating from University with a degree in Art History & English.
Moving to Sotheby’s marketing department in Bond Street, I established further respect for all the aspects of the art world, spanning from the impressionists and old masters to contemporary fine art and 20th Century applied arts.
Over the years, as well as writing for publications on the world of arts and auctions, I have managed some hugely successful and exciting international, national and local PR campaigns of various collections.
I have had the privilege of managing many large PR campaigns including such exciting projects as the estate of the late Syd Barrett, which naturally gained national and international media coverage, both in the press as well as TV.
Another hugely covered news story was generated with the sale of treasured items from Royal Collections, which included wonderful letters and cards from Diana, Princess of Wales.
Now at Quite Great, I am further expanding our roster of artists, to not just include musicians but also artists from the world of art and design.
Whether this covers designers initiating interior design trends with their products and fashions or artists, artisans, and galleries.

Gary Nicholls is a unique steampunk fine art photographer and author who we’ve worked with for a number of years.
Our focus for Gary’s PR campaign was not only to highlight his incredible talent as a fine art photographer.
But also to reveal his remarkable project ‘The Imaginarium’.
This impressive trilogy is a Dickens-style tale and told in a series of 150 fine art images in a trilogy of limited edition books.
Working with such an exceptional artist was a very exciting project.
That required a strong Art Public Relations campaign.
Straight thought out, one of the ideas to promote Gary’s work was to target specific areas in Shoreditch.
Using the location as a street canvas for Gary’s work.
For one night only Shoreditch became a gigantic backdrop for Gary to showcase his work.

Building momentum towards an artist’s solo show is an exciting and challenging campaign to organise for any Art Public Relations consultant.
Contemporary visual artist Brian Parker’s London exhibition ‘The Journey So Far… It’s All About Me’.
Consisted of a show exhibiting a collection of 39 pieces from Brian’s work.
As a result of the last ten years of painting every day.
A record of the themes and obsessions that he chose to paint included people, places & dancers and visited locations from Brian’s life.
‘ I am driven by the need to appeal to the visual sense of my viewers, so the aesthetic impact it has on the viewer is more important to me than any particular theme’…..
Creating a buzz around an artist through their PR campaign is vital.
As each piece of press is reaching out to a new audience of potential buyers and collectors and raising the artist profile.
Quite Great Art PR department have achieved excellent media results.
These have covered a variety of publications and media outlets such as
Happiful ,
Great British Life as well as variety of local radio interviews.
This particular Art Public Relations campaign has also assisted with promoting and helping to organise art exhibitions.
Such as Brian’s solo London show and raising our artist’s profile with local PR.
Based around exhibitions such as the
Royal Ulster Academy of Arts,
The Wells Art Contemporary 2021
to name a few.
Just thought i’d write a quick note to express my appreciation.
For all the great work these guys (especially Lisa Freeman and Pete Bassett) did for me over the six months.
Leading up to my first London solo exhibition.
The Art Public Relations campaign in national print magazines and radio coverage.
Really help raise awareness of the show and raise my personal media profile.

Contemporary abstract artist Dmitry is an honest and passionate artist.
Who truly believes that art can help us to create positive and powerful emotions.
When we sit in front of a piece of art that magically captures our attention it can ignite so many different emotions translated from the artist to us. The German Expressionist Kandinsky reminded us how
‘The artist must train not only his eye but also his soul’ and Dmitry’s work seems to emanate from these precise thoughts.
Our focus for Dmitry’s was to raise his profile and drive traffic to his website.
To create a much more substantial virtual gallery walk-in.
Read Dmitry’s case study to find out more about Dmitry’s marketing objectives.
Thank you so much for your amazing creativity and your passion about art!
You really invest your soul and all capabilities to help artists.
The project and collaboration with all of you was the best experience ever!!!!
The whole approach that you are applying is extremely professional .
And what I liked the most – you really made it unique,.
You were able to understand art and artist and your passion about doing even small things was so much impressive!!!!!

Peter Deighan is widely regarded as one of the country’s finest Portrait, sporting painters, and wildlife painters. Born in Ireland and working in the UK, Peter predominantly works in the medium of oil paint.
He held his first major exhibition in the Duke of Bedford’s stately home, Woburn Abbey. Among his earlier commissions were portraits of the comedian Eric Morecambe, Jimmy Greaves, Lewis Hamilton, speaker of the House of Commons Selwyn Lloyd, Cardinal Basil Hume Archbishop of Westminister (this portrait hangs in the Vatican).
Other notable portraits include author Frederick Forsyth, Lester Piggott, Steve Davis, and the first official portrait of Prime Minister John Major which now hangs in No. 10. Some of his more noteworthy Irish portraits were of Peadar O’Donnell, Sean McBride, Charles J. Haughey, and Michael O’Hehir which were unveiled on RTE’s Late Late Show in Dublin.
At a time when the threat to our planet’s ecosystem has never been graver, award-winning artist Oenone Hammersley.
Has progressed from painting wildlife on paper to larger and more diverse images.
Of nature in oil on canvas to fantastical depictions of water.
Oenone Hammersley is a successful contemporary artist whose abstract and semi-abstract works.
Truly capture both the beauty and the hideous in our sadly diminishing world of wilderness and nature.
Quite Great are brilliant.
They managed to get me some of the best press I have ever had .
I would highly recommend them it you are looking for a PR firm.

A classic example of some of the work conducted through Quite Great, relates to the auction of legendary Pink Floyd founder member Syd Barrett and his art.
Following his untimely death and the vast array of media that covered the story,
Quite Great worked to assist in events and exhibitions.
He was an art student also and had known Waters since their childhood back in Cambridge.
Roger ‘Syd’ Barrett viewed himself primarily as a visual artist.
And after his Pink Floyd days devoted most of his time to painting.
After his last solo performances, Syd returned to his first love.
And spent the rest of his life painting and drawing at home in Cambridge.
The Quite Great team have also worked with the likes of Mick Rock on unique limited edition art.
ARTS FOR INDIA EXHIBITION
We are also honoured to have worked with the likes of Arts for India in their mission to help underprivileged young Indian people.
And lead a way out of poverty for them via the provision of Education in Art and Creative Design
To an international standard.
Quite Great PR and promotion helped with the awareness building for one of their yearly events.
Held at the Saatchi Gallery in London.
The inspirational nature of this organisation is evident in the clarity of the message as outlined below through Quite Great.
