A new campaign has been launched today to help the music industry through the coronavirus pandemic.
Keep Music Alive has been set up by the Musicians’ Union and Ivors Academy and calls for musicians to get a bigger cut of Spotify royalties.
Quite Great is 100% behind this. We’re a part of this music industry and have helped it grow over the two decades we’ve been going. It would be bitterly sad to see music as another victim of this terrible virus.
It’s estimated that Spotify only pays an average of £0.0028 per stream to ‘rights holders’ – so it feels like about time for a bit of a pay rise!
