It is rather a worrying fact that anyone can identify as a dog trainer because there are no laws or expectations for education, qualifications, training or standards of practice, so pretty much anyone can call themselves a dog trainer these days. This is something many organisations have been campaigning for change for many years and really does seem quite worrying that it is a fact.
Most people are probably completely unaware of this fact but it is certainly something to be aware of when you step out into the world of trying to train both yourself, family and dog. There are definitely so many tips and hints on how to have the perfectly trained dog from TV shows to news reports so its no surprise we can get confused.
