How Does Quite Great Help Promote Classical Music ?
One of the many talented musical clients who we had the pleasure of working with this summer was the Anglo-Welsh composer Lisa Logan and her latest project, ‘A Silver Spoon’, a new chamber opera looking at the love story of Princess Diana and Dodi . Our job was to raise the profile of Lisa and her opera music to the British classical and mainstream press, with a focus on both English and Welsh press.
To achieve the most successful PR campaign for Lisa Logan and this opera, we firstly had many discussions with Lisa to fully understand her vision, desires, aims, and the particular press and media targets she most wanted to focus on. After the series of meetings and ensuring everyone was on the same page, we created our successful list of ‘Quite Great PR Pebbles’.
This format allowed us to make sure we had covered and considered all the points that mattered the most to Lisa so that our Quite Great team could be fully sure that all angles were covered. This campaign also relied on making sure regional areas in Wales were all highlighted to this event through press, radio and TV as well as social media.
Music is a powerful art and holds many attributes and values. Neuroimaging has even proven that music stimulates many areas of the brain, releasing rushes of dopamine that can create positive emotions and happy memories. It plays a part in our daily life in so many ways, some of which may even go subconsciously unnoticed. This is why we’re so passionate about promoting the world’s wonderful talents, and lucky for you, we have an extensive network of connections across the spectrum of print and social media, to radio, international, national and regional PR. The Quite Great team focused on PR that allowed the British speaking world to be invited into another world they didn’t even know they wanted to be a part of.
The team created press releases that displayed the exact wishes of the client, and were delivered with honesty and innovative ideas, the whole process involving Lisa and ensuring she was happy every step of the way.
The campaign flourished and with our established contacts and respected reputation with the media, ‘A Silver Spoon’ opera was successfully covered a range of great PR covering national and regional press as well as making sure the Classical world were aware of this emerging talent, highlighted by the feature on BBC Radio 3 ‘In Tune’.
