Oenone Hammersley’s work was another talented artist we were excited to be supporting with her marketing campaign. Hammersley’s dedication to helping the environment and her passion for the planet were inspirational. These values naturally led us to help the artist with her regular blog updates concentrating on worldwide environmental events, where we could focus on her work, techniques, inspirations, and motivations. Developing this understanding with Oenone and her work, as well as her artistic development over the years, was very important to us and the campaign.
Quite Great art PR campaign
An art PR campaign needs this personal understanding of the artist and their vision, expectations, and hopes for the future of their art. Understanding the ethos and visions of the artist is key to creating valuable content; not only in the UK but also for international art recognition.
Content marketing & PR strategy
With the support of our experts and marketing activities, Oenone’s online blog traffic increased over 100% with views developing from all over the world from UK, US, China, Germany, France, Greece, Hong Kong, Sweden, Australia, and Romania.
Our regular analysis of analytics data allowed us to monitor how well blogs were performing; focusing our efforts on those high-performers, all whilst focusing equal efforts on those underperformers to increase organic traffic.
To increase organic traffic and brand awareness, our art SEO team focused their efforts on content management; creating a weekly blog, and regularly posting on the client’s social media platforms.
As an art pr agency that creates public relations for artists with both online and print media, our focus for Oenone’s campaign of artist Oenone was to raise her profile and drive traffic to her website; ultimately creating a more substantial virtual gallery walk in.
This campaign began during Covid-19, a time which was extremely challenging for all artists as galleries and exhibitions were forced to close down and cancel all events. This meant that we needed to think outside of the box and establish innovative ways of attracting attention to the artist and her work.
Website maintenance and optimisation
We assisted Oenone with her website organisation, updating events, and helping to create an art website that was visually stimulating and informative to all visitors. This was a short art campaign so initial art PR initiatives were established with a view to progressing further on the art PR in a second stage campaign. All art PR takes time to establish correct outlets, whether print or online, many of which have altered during lockdown and Covid but the optimism and enthusiasm for art is stronger than ever.
We have appreciated the power of art on our mental health and the importance of using art to share environmental messages, as more valuable than ever.
Power of art PR
The power of art PR, whether through websites, social media, or press art PR is as important as ever. This is because art buyers, galleries, auction houses, and exhibitors build on the excitement of normality returning and viewers being able to interact with art in the flesh, getting back to exhibitions; whether these are in national art galleries, museums, or even offices. The joy of art to inspire at work or at home is hungrier than ever. So being able to feed that art PR need with Hammersley’s inspiring art and messages through art highlighting the need for our constant environmental awareness, was a pleasure!
