World Music Day means a lot of things to a lot of people from choosing their favourite tracks of all time to more serious matters and it is these more serious matters that we tend to focus upon at Quite Great Music Marketing given we deal with so many artists that not only use music to highlight their talent but also use music to help them through the toughest of life experiences. It is this subject therefore that we aim to highlight in line with World Music Day and our focus relates to one of the most inspirational artists you will ever hope to meet, an inspiration to the Quite Great team over the past few years and his name is Adam Lanceley . Adam is presently promoting his new project , The Complete Adam Lanceley 2012-2023, which we ask you to check out on Spotify
Adam was an aspiring athlete playing cricket amongst other sports to a high level when he sadly was involved in a life changing car accident as a youth but this was not embraced by him as an issue but embraced by him as a path to create music. Everything he writes about in his Bob Dylan style, reflects elements of his life story and has has been featured on TV and major news articles. The odds were against him making it out alive, let alone being able to walk or talk again. Yet Adam fought back and for many years has used music as a way to highlight the way his world changed as well as developing a spiritual path to write and help produce a sound that has helped him navigate the world and bring a positive message to all those who have heard him.
‘The Complete Adam Lanceley’ combines a range of styles and an array of differing lyrical themes from experimental with a track like The Dream of Yesterday where Adam ‘tries different instruments, arrangements and styles’ to Leaving Scotland where Adam ventures into a political message for the first time. As we develop through this cathartic series of historic songs the upbeat side of Adam shines through with Heading for the Sunshine as well as returning to his musical roots and his love for the Beach Boys with the track A Dream I Had.
We ask you to search out his story and on World Music Day tell your friends and bring a little sunshine to their lives.
